Abstract:

Urban land use is one of the basic concepts in urban planning. It can be called the main foundation of urban planning. It can be said that urban land use has always been a constant component in all Substantive and process theories in planning discipline. This clearly states the importance of urban land use planning in its physical environment. This research uses a descriptive and narrative and best evidence synthesis review methods to survey the criteria for locating urban cultural land uses. In terms of purpose, it is an applied that examines the cultural centers and libraries as case studies. The results showed that in the studied land uses, the main criteria of locating by different researchers include: centrality, adaptability, scale, human environment, physical condition, population density and distribution, accessibility, security, safety and health. Each also includes different sub-criteria such as distance matrix, land plots, public transportation stations and stops and etcetera.
