Designing a model of social responsibility of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting to strengthen the convergence of ethnic groups living on the border(Case study: Sistan and Baluchistan province)
According to the media theory of social responsibility, the media is committed to society. The purpose of this study is to design a model of social responsibility for the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting in order to strengthen the convergence of ethnic groups in the border province of Sistan and Baluchistan. The research method is qualitative and based on grounded theory. The data collection tool is in-depth semi-structured interviews with 15 experts aware of the research topic (university experts, managers of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, and the leaders of the tribes of the province) in the form of theoretical sampling using targeted techniques and Snowballs have been selected. Data analysis was performed using open, axial, and selective coding methods. 121 key concepts, 33 categories, 13 main categories resulting from the interviews include the central category of (social responsibility of the IRIB in strengthening the convergence of ethnic groups in S&B province), causal conditions (observance of citizenship rights, a tendency to the truth, responsibility, and professionalism), the underlying conditions (internal and external media environment), intervening conditions (environmental challenges and organizational constraints), strategies (ethnic strategies and organizational strategies) and the consequences (strengthening the convergence of ethnic groups in the province and promoting IRIB accountability) in the conceptual grounded theories model.
