Methodology of interpretation of “The Holy Quran” by Mustafa Khomeini

Methodology has a special place in any science. Scholars of exegesis also deal with the methodology of interpretation of various commentators. This leads to a better and better understanding of the interpretation in question. One of the contemporary interpretations is the interpretation of the Holy Quran by Mustafa Khomeini, which is one of the comprehensive interpretations. This article seeks to review and explain the sources, principles and interpretive method of the interpretation of the Holy Quran by Mustafa Khomeini. Due to the fact that knowing the methodology of each interpretation is of special importance, so in this study, the methodology of the interpretation has been studied. The method of data collection in this research is library and the research method is descriptive- analytical. In this commentary, Mr. Mostafa Khomeini has used quotation and reason as a reliable tool, source and reference to discover the meanings of the verses. Among the prominent features of Mustafa Khomeini in this commentary, we can mention the high power of inference and ijtihad, mastery of various sciences and critique of interpretive materials, Quranic sciences, literature, hadith, jurisprudence, etc.
