The monography of the marginalized region of Koshtargah in Urmia
Because of its high population and actually having three times more than usual, the marginalized region of Koshtargah in Urmia is one of the regions which is one the poorest rural areas when talking about the facilities which the government has given. The results of this research which is based on monography and which utilized the techniques such as observation, interviewing, questionnaire and photography, revealed that the Koshtargah region of Urmia is different from the main part of the city in various ways. Unusual housings, streets and narrow alleys, environmental and hygienic problems, high population, low possibility of using the facilities necessary in life, feeling of relative deprivation and high anomie and low economic and social values are the features of this area. The aforementioned features are the causes of different ethical and social abnormalities and not only can this threaten the social security of the city, in the long time, it can also put the security and discipline of the society in danger. By this description, marginalization is a problem of metropolitan city which indicates a shortcoming in the social and economical framework. It is also necessary that fundamental solutions be taken in to consideration to overcome these problems.
