The Rule of Social Capital to Increase Soft Power of Islamic Republic of Iran

Social capital is one of the most important features of any community development. This concept was first used by Jean - Jacob's classics in 1961.And since the 1990 s, there has been an increase in articles by people like James Coleman, Pierre Bourdieu, Robert Pattnam, and Francis Fukuyama. Social capital comprises notions such as trust, cooperation and companionship among community members. Social capital is what we have in our relationship with other people like trust ,confidence, beliefs. Social capital relates to well - known sociological variables such as trust, knowledge, concern about others and public issues, participation in public matters and cohesion and teamwork and collaboration. based on Fukuyama thinks social capital is considered one of the elements of power. At the end of the Cold War, a face of power came out, as soft as power and was first introduced by Joseph Nye. Soft power is the ability to attract people without compulsion. Legitimacy is the pivot of soft power. if a nation legitimate the goals of another country , it will be easier to persuade them to adopt the country 's leadership without the use of threats. legitimacy can reduce the cost of rigid power usage. In the form of soft power, the most effective form is social power. social capital is one of the important issues affecting soft power. given the importance of social capital and its function as well as soft power components it can be said that social capital has a significant role in promoting soft power and increasing it
