Investigating people's willingness to pay for social harm reduction (case study of drug addiction in Assaluyeh city)
Today, social addiction adds devastating consequences and enormous costs to society. Among the undesirable effects of divorce addiction, the reduction of social security, the increase in theft and transmission of diseases that the government is suffering from the cost of eliminating them; that is why the value that people have to reduce drug addiction in society and, consequently, improve quality Social life are helpful in evaluating government programs in combating drugs and reducing addiction.
This research has quantified this subjective value in Assaluyeh as the capital of Iranian energy by applying a contingent valuation method. To do this, the contingency assessment questionnaire has been designed in a dual and two way way to estimate the willingness to pay for reducing addiction, and 314 family managers from different income groups in the industrial city of Assaluyeh have completed it. Data analysis was carried out using probit pattern. According to the results, the willingness to pay in individuals was influenced by three first-price offerings, monthly household income and gender.
