The Relationship between Knowledge, Attitude and Practice with Hope to treatment Towards Covid-19 Disease in Residents of Mashhad in 1399

Knowledge, attitude, and performance of the general public ultimately determine their behavior in the face of specific situations. The hope to treatment as a psychological component can also affect a person's health behaviors. This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitude, and practice with hope to treatment towards Covid-19 disease.

This study is a descriptive cross-sectional study of correlation type that was conducted in 1399 on 411 residents of Mashhad. In this study, multi-stage random cluster sampling was performed hope to treatment was measured by scoring between 0-10 and the knowledge, attitude and performance measured by researcher questionnaire. Data was analyzed by SPSS software (version 25).

The mean knowledge, attitude and practice of individuals related to corona from 100 points were 62.62 ± 11.41, 40.94 ± 23.35 and 80.64 70 14.70, respectively. Also, the mean and standard deviation of the hope to treatment and recovery score in case of Covid was 7.46 7 2.29 out of 10 points. The majority of participants had moderate knowledge (73.5%), poor attitude (75.9%) and good performance (65.7%) towards Covid 19. There was a significant relationship between knowledge (r= 0.183; p <0.001) and attitude (r= 0.314; p <0.001) with hope to treatment.

A direct relationship was observed between the knowledge and attitude with the hope to treatment. Knowledge and attitude towards issues related to important psychological phenomena such as hope to treatment can influence and determine health behaviors. It is necessary to raise the level of knowledge, attitude, and practice and hope to treat people.
