Investigating the relationship between family communication patterns and addiction to virtual networks with identity crisis in anxious adolescents
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between family communication patterns and virtual network addiction with identity crisis in anxious adolescents. The method of the present study is descriptive-correlational and the statistical population of the present study includes all anxious adolescents in Semnan in 1400. Also, to determine the sample size of the research, at least 50 people can be selected for each of the variables that enter the regression equation (Hooman, 1398). Therefore, the sample size, with 2 predictor variables and one criterion variable, ie a total of 3 variables that enter the regression equation, was estimated to be 50 people for each variable and a total of 150 people were selected by available sampling method. Data collection tools were the Ahmadi Identity Crisis Questionnaire, the Ritchie and Fitzpatrick Family Communication Patterns Questionnaire, and the Waltz Cyberspace Addiction Questionnaire. Descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean) and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation coefficients and regression analysis) were used to analyze the data using SPSS software version 26. Findings showed that there is a relationship between family communication patterns and addiction to virtual networks with identity crisis in anxious adolescents.
