Explain the concept of organizational development using a competitive value framework model based on management information systems
Management information systems are one of the most important factors influencing the significant developments and changes in the current changing environment. In this environment, organizations try to design and use more complex and comprehensive management information systems in order to use their organizational development capabilities and create a competitive advantage. This paper examines the role of management information systems on organizational development (which is reflected in the effectiveness of management information systems) that the model of its competitive value framework has been operationally defined. The Competitive Values Framework model combines four main management dimensions to measure the effectiveness of information systems in organizational development: open system, human relations, internal process, and rational model. The present research is of applied type and investigates the subject using survey research method. The statistical population of the study consists of the staff of the headquarters of a government organization in Tehran and the sample number is 133 people. Findings show that the human resources component, which is characterized by the characteristics of interpersonal communication, group decision making, teamwork and personalization, is the most important factor in creating
