Designing an Enterprise Information Technology Roadmap (Case Study: Organizational Virtual Bank)

The purpose of this research is to develop an IT roadmap for implementing a organizational virtual bank. In this regard, a new methodology to creating an IT Roadmap was developed

The exploratory mixed method was used in this research. The statistical sample was a panel of 30 experts in the related areas that worked in MSCO. This research was started by the interviews in the expert panel, during the qualitative phase. Afterward, the quantitative phase was started with performing the Delphi in the expert panel.

During the IPA phase, 9 Gaps were discovered. These gaps are necessary to use in the final IT roadmap. Finally, based on all findings a framework for information technology roadmap (customized for implementing a dedicated organizational virtual bank) was developed. Also a new method for IT Roadmapping was introduced

This research presented a new integrated, innovative, localized and applied process, based on the some main methods of foresight, which can easily meet the needs of researchers and scholars in the field of IT roadmapping. Therefore, the IT roadmap framework resulting from this process is a comprehensive, clear, easy to understand and practical IT roadmap framework which has effective role in IT development projects in organizations
