Influence of senior managers information system on the quality of camp services of National Iranian Drilling Company using data mining technique

Abstract:
Objective

The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors influencing the quality of camp services of National Iranian Drilling Company using data mining technique.

Methodology

The research method was data based and the main information base was established through the databases of the senior management information system of National Drilling Company. The global CRISP-DM standard was used to conduct the study. The research population of the whole information in the senior management information system in relation to the service sector in the period 2011-2018 was 1.135.237. The data were analyzed using data mining models.

Results

The results showed that the highest number of calls, namely the highest frequency of the problems, belonged to the sanitation group and among the kitchen services, it was associated with the unpleasant odor of the food. In addition, the following problems were identified in the camps: the rate of health problems and lack of ventilation systems in camps, lack of hygiene in camp corridors and rooms, lack of clean sheets and bedding, lack of hygiene in the kitchen, food-related problems, unpleasant odor of the food, lack of garbage collection, lack of timely meals, menu problems, lack of hygiene in the rooms, unclean dining rooms, service problems, waste, lack of hygiene around the camp, lack of due planning for the events, lack of calmness around the camps, polluted air, lack of staff satisfaction, lack of cleaners, flooded toilets, lack of amenities in the rooms such as TV, etc., electric service problems, and weak cooling services.

Conclusion

The data mining technique is an appropriate means through which the factors affecting the quality of camp services of the National Iranian Drilling Company could be investigated.
