The Analysis Influence of Ground Floors' Facade Quality in Commercial Building on Developing an Appropriate Urban Space Pattern (Case Study: Rodaki Street, Shiraz)
spaces and to meet the needs of citizens, the quality of views of commercial ground floors should be considered and examined. The most important part of the building that is visible to the public when passing through urban space is the ground floor of the building. The design of this part of the building is very influential on the quality of urban space. The purpose of this study was to identify and evaluate the quality components of the commercial ground floor facade and its impact on the sense of belonging to urban space. The present study was conducted using a combination survey method. In this study, firstly, information gathering through documentary study was used to formulate the theoretical framework. In the main part of the study, a case study, a researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect data. The statistical population of this study was employees, residents and passers-by. The sample size was 385 people based on Cochran formula and questionnaires were distributed among them by simple random sampling. Spss software was used for data analysis and the results were analyzed in two levels of descriptive and inferential statistics. The results show that on the one hand, the sense of belonging to citizens is the result of the influence of urban views on the quality of urban space, and the quality of views of commercial ground floors, is the basis for the quality of urban spaces and on the other hand, enhances the sense of belonging to the urban space.
