Analysis of the health of urban streets with emphasis on perceptual security of residents components (Case study: District 4 of Tehran Municipality)
Healthy and safe streets are streets that facilitate physical activity. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the indicators of urban street health with emphasis on the components of perceptual security of residents.
This research is of applied type and in terms of the nature of the method is survey type and in terms of data analysis method is descriptive-analytical. The statistical population is the citizens of District 4 of Tehran Municipality and the sample size is 250 people, which is a simple random sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire. Analysis was performed by factor analysis and regression tests and Friedman with Spss, Lisrel and Exell software.
It was found that by regression test and ADJR2 index, research indices predict 53% of the variance of perceptual security and based on regression test; The component of visual and environmental comfort has the highest impact on the perceptual security of the residents of Region 4 (beta = 0.779). Intervention priorities of the components of perceptual security in District 4 of Tehran Municipality are: visual and environmental comfort (1.28), vitality (1.87), readability component (1.96), size and shape component of space (2.10), environmental compatibility (2.59), Physical component (2.70) Visual and auditory pollution (2.83) Sense of belonging (2.94).
Finally, using data analysis, it was concluded that; The components of perceptual security are related to the health of urban streets, and if a standard unit of eight components of perceptual security is upgraded to beta (regression test), it can improve the health of the streets in District 4 of Tehran Municipality.
