Examining Trump's regional policy on economic globalization from the perspective of the international economy
The purpose of this article is to examine the economics of Trump's foreign policy from a realistic perspective. These studies have been done by descriptive-analytical method. The results show that Trump's foreign policy was based on central interests, preferring the framework of the central interest approach and economic nationalism to the globalization of the international economy, and viewed the globalization of the economy with skepticism. Trump did not care about the globalization of the economy, he canceled or amended some trade agreements under the pretext of nationalism. Trump opposes the establishment of a liberal order in the United States and seeks to end that order, the global economy does not seem to benefit the United States, and he seeks a fundamental redefinition of the American national interest. Trump's protectionist policies are worsening the state of the world economy. With the inauguration of the Trump administration, the direction of American foreign policy has undergone significant changes, from liberal internationalism to a combination of modernism and realism. The most important indicators of this type of orientation have been prioritizing national goals, adopting unilateral policies, opposing the role of legitimate and participatory US leadership, reluctance to globalize the economy, and US adherence to moral obligations and international norms.
