Aesthetic evaluation of Lalehzar street landscape  in the 1st Pahlavi era

Within the relatively uncultivated society of the post-Qajar era, the source of inspiration for urban developments was the celebration Ancient Persia’s civilization of to the point where the nationalist thinking of the 1st Pahlavi was considered as that guides for the country's political approaches and positions. Social, economic and technological changes on the one hand, and exchanges between statesmen, elites and Iranian graduates from Europe on the other, have led to a movement which more than anything, influenced the ways and passages; thus, "the street" as an axis of urban development and linear model, took place as an order for urbanization. The construction of the road network under the 1st Pahlavi is a spark for greater changes especially within the discourse of the appearance of art in the city spaces. These manifestations of art did not remain without effects on the perception of the city and Tehran’s urban landscape by the user at that time; effects which are still present and about witch this research is interested. Understanding the persisting relationships between global and local policies for building new roads as an art work, outlines a specified coding for current urban actors in road management, whose instruction is a specific objective of the research.Through the study of the urban regulation linked to the roads at the 1st Pahlavi, the article seeks to instruct criteria leading to the aesthetic analysis of the streets of the time in question and Lalehzar as a case with the characteristics of a modern street of this period, is put into in-depth analysis. The material of the street is considered as the most important aesthetic elements on the 1st Pahlavi, whose qualitative improvement is due to its mix with art in form, color and material for a profound effect in the user's perception of space.
