Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to predict adolescent self -esteem based on the parent_child relationship, basic psychological needs and self -concep. The present research method was a descriptive of correlation. The statistical population of the present study was formed by all secondary school students in Meybod city in the academic year 1399-1400. Research data were collected using Coopersmith self-esteem)(967), parent-child relationship by Fine et al(1983). , basic psychological needs (2000) and Rogers`s self-concept (1938) questionnaires and finally participating data that was capable of analyzing research hypotheses using multiple regression analysis with SPSS25 software was analyzed. The findings suggest that the parent_child relationship, basic psychological needs and self -concept of the child predicts self -esteem in adolescents. Based on the results, it can be concluded that in order to improve adolescent self -esteem, pay attention to the parent_child relationship, satisfying the basic psychological needs of adolescents self -concept.
