The Role of Media in Strengthening Social Capital in the Second Step of the Islamic Revolution

The Islamic Revolution of Iran has won by relying on the presence of the people and using the capacity of social capital, and now in the second step of the revolution, maintaining and strengthening the position of this revolution and the system of the Islamic Republic requires maintaining social capital and promoting these capitals. Weakening of social capital can have adverse effects on society and it is necessary to strengthen social capital with various tools and methods. The media is always a good tool for influencing individual and public opinion; Although there are differences in views on the extent to which the media is influential, all theorists agree on a minimal amount of media influence. The media can help strengthen social capital in Iran, and this study has tried to find solutions to strengthen social capital through the media and uses analytical methods to find findings to help decision-makers and executives in the field of media activities to take the second step. Be an acceptable functional revolution to strengthen social capital. Most of the strategies for strengthening social capital go through the media. The functions of the media in strengthening social capital can be to produce various content and programs to reduce anomalies, promote altruism, expand the rule of law, strengthen oversight, develop a sense of cooperation and participation, create and strengthen hope and vitality, raising public awareness, strengthening the family institution, increasing convergence, improving public-government interactions.
