Investigating the relationship between attachment styles and social disorders with the effect of emotion regulation in students
Social anxiety disorder is one of the psychological problems in developmental periods from childhood to adulthood. Therefore, identifying the factors affecting it is important. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the relationship between attachment styles and social anxiety with emotion regulation mediation. The research design method was descriptive-correlation. The statistical population included students of Tehran Azad University. 200 people were selected by available sampling method. To collect information and data from the Social Panic Questionnaire (SPIN) (Connor et al., 2000), the Attachment Styles Questionnaire (Hazen and Schiver, 1987) and the Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ) (Grenfsky & Kraj, 2006). ) used. Findings showed that there is a significant relationship between attachment styles and social anxiety disorder with mediation of emotion regulation in Tehran students. Attachment styles, with their components of blame, acceptance and positive focus on planning have a significant positive relationship at the level of 0.01 and with positive refocus, catastrophe and blame of others at the level of 0.05. Social anxiety has a significant negative relationship with secure attachment style at the level of 0.01 and a significant positive relationship with avoidant and ambivalent attachment style at the level of 0.01.
