Presenting a model for absenteeism management with the approach of foundational data analysis and factor analysis Case study: General Department of Tax Affairs of Isfahan Province
This study is conducted with the aim of presenting a model of employee absenteeism management in Isfahan Province Tax Administration. Since very little researches have been focused on absenteeism management, this study seeks to examine this concept with a mixed method and provide a comprehensive and practical model for this concept.
This research is an applied research and considered as exploratory research in terms of research method; which has been done qualitatively and quantitatively (mixed method) with the use of
grounded theory and exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. In the qualitative part of the research, after collecting data through interviews, the data were analyzed and the components were coded openly, selectively and centrally, and the research model was designed based on the theoretical framework of grounded theory. In the quantitative section, a researcher-made questionnaire was designed based on the factors identified in the quantitative section and distributed among the employees of Isfahan Province Total Tax Administration.
The results of the questionnaire were analyzed in two methods of confirmatory and exploratory factor analysis, which finally led to the presentation of the final model of staff absenteeism management in in Isfahan Province Total Tax Administration. This model includes causal conditions, contextual conditions, intervention conditions, strategies and consequences of employee absenteeism management.
The presented model in this research can be provided as a comprehensive tool to reduce the absence of employees from the work and help managers of various organizations to solve problems in this area in a principled way.
