Abstract:
Describing and illustrating is one of the most important abilities of a poet in creating a poetic work; Because he does this by using his mental and scientific resources and using linguistic and expressive possibilities. Ferdowsi Shahnameh is one of the poems that has a high status from this perspective. Hakim Toos has finally described the artist using novel images and arrays of situations, people, conversations, scenes and events, and has created original, attractive and lasting images. In this article, an attempt is made to examine the position of imaginary images in describing the human elements of Shahnameh, which include body parts, physical and moral characteristics of human beings. This research has been done by descriptive-analytical method and the information has been collected based on library studies. A study of the imaginary descriptions of the human elements of the Shahnameh indicates that Ferdowsi described the characters in the best way by using metaphors, metaphors, allusions and metaphors, especially similes, artistically and creatively.
