Literary sociology of Shab-e-SohrabKoshan's story based on Max Weber's theory of social action and its socialist ideas
Sociology, as one of the main mechanisms for the transmission of historical, social, political, moral relations, etc., is of considerable importance because the reflection of the foundations of the society of an era and the recognition of its various values express the various thoughts and ideas of a culture. Literary works, because of being affected by different cultures and customs as well as sociological relations, play a major role in the transfer of social mechanisms, a clear example of which is the Shahnameh of Ferdowsi. This work of heroism, mythology, and history provides a suitable platform for the critique and analysis of contemporary works influenced by it. With regard to this, the present study descriptively analytically explains the basics of the political sociology of the story entitled “Sohrab Koshan Night”, as one of the stories influenced by Shahnameh. As a hero (Morteza who is deaf and dumb), introduces relationships that require sociological thinking in the logical course of human life today. Throughout the story, different thoughts, ideas, and acts are shaped when the incident of his bitter death occurs. The foundations of sociology are criticized based on the ideas of Max Weber, and considering the elements of reason and reality, as well as mental structures and social actions.
