Transfer of information and violation of national security by using spy drones; From the point of view of international law

The present article examines the issue of violation of territorial integrity and endangering national security by spy drones in order to transmit information, from the perspective of international law. Just as the principle of freedom of information and the right of access to it is very important, other principles of international law such as sovereignty and territorial integrity, security and independence of nations, etc. are also very important. As much as international law protects freedom of information, it also supports the sovereignty and independence of nations, and if an issue violates the territorial integrity of nations, it is considered a violation of international law. Now, if a country uses the drone to obtain information from another country's geographical area under the pretext of freedom of information, it has committed an act of espionage in violation of international law and should be punished. The aim of this study was to express the dimensions of violations of international laws on freedom of information by spy drones in a descriptive-analytical manner and using the collection of "library" and "documentary" data. The results of the research show that obtaining the consent of countries to enter their borders is irreplaceable and if a spy drone enters the borders of a country without permission, it will be described as a violation of sovereignty and territorial sovereignty.
