Investigating the relationship between social networks and precocious puberty of first-level high school girls in Shiraz

This research aims to investigate one of the aspects of this problem and examine the issues that have affected the premature puberty of girls and caused physical and social harm to them. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to investigate the relationship between social networks and precocious puberty of first-level secondary school girls in Shiraz. The current research is of a descriptive-analytical type, which was conducted as a survey. The statistical population under study is all female students of the first level of high school in four districts of Shiraz, whose age range was 11 to 12 years; According to the inquiry, 4100 students were studying and according to the sample size of Cochran, 351 people were considered as the research sample. In order to achieve the goals of the research from the personal information questionnaire in order to know the demographic characteristics, the researcher made a questionnaire which has 23 questions in the social media section and 9 questions in the quick access section. The validity of both questionnaires was confirmed by experts and their reliability was investigated in a preliminary study with 30 subjects and their reliability was calculated as 0.89 for social media and 0.86 for precocious puberty. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the research variables. The results also showed that the educational use of social networks explained 16% of the variance of the early sexual maturity variable.
