The Effectiveness of Online Logotherapy in Self-concept and Psychological Distress of Women Referring to the Khavaran Cultural Center
The current research investigates online logotherapy's effectiveness in the self-concept and psychological distress of women referring to the Khavaran Cultural Center. The current research was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design and a control group. The study's statistical population included all women referred to Khavaran Cultural Center in 2013. The research sample consisted of 30 women selected by the available sampling method and randomly allocated to experimental and control groups. A self-concept checklist (BSCI) by beck et al. (1990) and psychological distress scale (KPDS) by Kessler et al. (2002) were used to collect data. Data were analyzed using a multivariate analysis of covariance. The results showed a significant difference (P<0.05) between the experimental and control groups' post-test in self-concept and psychological distress by controlling the effect of the pre-test. Therefore, it is concluded that the logotherapy method is one of the effective methods in improving self-concept and reducing women's psychological distress, referring to the Khavaran Cultural Center.
