Designing a native model for the analysis of strategic documents (security and military)

By publishing security, defence and military strategic documents, governments seek to present their intentions and macro directions to domestic and foreign audiences. These documents, which show their worldview, contain a set of beliefs, attitudes and actions of each of the actors and can provide useful information to the military and security decision-makers of a country. Since finding out about the issues considered by countries, think tanks and strategic institutions in the world is considered one of the necessities of strategic thinking in Iran; The purpose of this research is to provide a local framework for a detailed and scientific analysis of the strategic documents of governments. Therefore, the present research seeks to answer the main question that what dimensions, components and indicators should be considered in the analysis of strategic documents in order to accurately and scientifically understand the aspects of "goals" and "directions" considered by that country? The nature of this research is descriptive-analytical. The method of data collection in the current research is based on the library (recording) and field (interview) methods. According to the nature of this research, the method of data analysis is the qualitative content method. The findings of this research show that for the analysis of strategic documents, it is possible to use the five main or comprehensive categories of "strategic vision", "goals and benefits", "threats", "tools" and "action methods", as well as 14 components and 58 indicators.
