The predictive role of Islamic Lifestyle in self-efficacy and delinquency of adolescents aged 13 to 18 in Shiraz
The aim of this study was to investigate the predictive role of Islamic lifestyle in self-efficacy and delinquency of adolescents aged 13 to 18 years in Shiraz.
The research method was descriptive-correlational with predictive method. The statistical population included all students in the first and second secondary schools of Shiraz in the academic year 1399-1400 and 300 people were selected as a sample by random cluster sampling. Kaviani Islamic Lifestyle Questionnaire (2009), Schwarzer and Jerusalem Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (2000) and Corporate Crime et al. (2017) were used to collect data and the data were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression tests.
The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between Islamic lifestyle and its components with adolescent self-efficacy and ethics indicators (Beta = 0.25) and thinking and science (Beta = 0.58) can predict adolescent self-efficacy. There is a significant negative relationship between Islamic lifestyle and its components with juvenile delinquency and social indicators (Beta = -0.15), ethics (Beta = -0.28), and financial indicators (Beta = -0.15) and family (Beta = 0.17) is able to predict juvenile delinquency.
Islamic lifestyle enhances self-efficacy and reduces juvenile delinquency.
