The Security Mystery between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia
The relationship between Iran,Saudi Arabia is one of the most important competitions that defines the scene of the Middle East. Both countries have often acted as real opponents,especially in the Persian Gulf. Saudi Arabia has strong relations with Western powers,while Iran considers the United States to be its most dangerous enemy. It can be said that there is a security problem in the relations between the two countries,because both of them seek the policy of increasing their relative achievements in order to ensure their security against the other. From the point of view of this article,what has been effective in the formation,continuation of this security mystery is the views,perceptions of the parties of each other under the influence of the developments that occurred after 1957. The most important component of the perception that shapes the security puzzle in the relations between the two countries is the perception that each country has of the other as a country seeking hegemony in the region. Although the religious,ideological competition between Iran,Saudi Arabia has always been important,most researchers consider the religious,ideological differences,differences as the engine of the competition between the two countries,the security puzzle between them,but this article is the main driver affecting the security puzzle between the two countries. He considers the country not religious differences,but the efforts of two countries to achieve regional hegemony,each side's perception of the other side as a country that wants to sideline the other side,achieve regional supremacy.
