Effect of Physical Activity on Burnout in Counter Narcotics Police Personnel
Job burnout is one of the main factors in reducing work, loss of human resources and physical and psychological complications, especially in service industries such as the police. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sport activities on decreasing burnout among drug dealers.
This research is descriptive, causal and non-functional, and is a field study of the effect of physical activity on burnout. The sample consisted of 346 people (325 males and 21 females) who were selected by random sampling from the Counter Narcotics Police, which were selected based on the quantity and quality of the missions in four distinct categories. The instrument was Maslach and Jackson Burnout Questionnaire, Beck Physical Activity Inventory. In analyzing the research data, the Whitney statistical method, the standard z score and the Kolmogorov Smirnov test have been used.
According to the statistical analysis of the averages, the results showed: at the significant level of 0.05, with the increase in physical activity, burnout in the fight against drug addicts decreases.
As a result, doing physical activity can be a good way to alleviate the mental and emotional pressures of the police
