An Aesthetic Investigation into the Structures and Artistic Functions of Repetition in Arafa Supplication
Imam Hussain's Arafa supplication is literary text on which many research have been carried out. This literary text includes various expressive and aesthetic variations such as image and different kinds of music such ad different types of repetition. Apart from the mentioned features for this text, it is an intricate text enjoying psychological features and the like which has made the truth of this supplication unreachable. The current research is to investigate one of these expressive and aesthetic styles, repetition as a kind of internal verbal music and its artistic function. The researcher tries to study different types of repetition such as letter repetition, word repetition, and sentence and rhyme repetition and etc. so that some mysteries and truths of this supplication is clarified to help the readers enjoy reading his supplication. The reason for choosing the subject is the abundance of the element of repetition and its cumulative accumulation in this supplication, which has been used in order to highlight the themes or emphasize a certain mental state, while this is beyond the scope of ordinary speech. It seemed that studying this topic could be useful for the reader. Repetition in this supplication has performed its functions well in the fields of rhythmic sound and semantics, and it is not just for the text decoration or extra part of the text. This research has been done in a descriptive-analytical method based on internal text processing and has tried to use the most appropriate examples and the most important aesthetic and semantic elements.
