After the start of the imposed war and due to the importance of maritime trade, the two countries of Iran and Iraq began a large-scale effort to disrupt each other's oil exports, so that after the destruction of the main oil platforms and the Iraqi navy in operation Morvarid. The Iraqi Air Force also launched a large-scale effort to damage the trade terminals of Iran, which eventually spread to various parts of the Persian Gulf under the name of tanker wars. It had a very large impact on the presence of trans-regional forces and the fate of the war. Therefore, considering the importance of this issue, the purpose of this essay is to investigate the role of the tanker war on the fate of the imposed war, and the main question is what effect did the tanker war had on the fate of the imposed war? Therefore, this research is an applied type with a descriptive research method and the statistical population of this research includes 55 people (total sample size) of deputies, commanders, and employed and retired managers of the I.R.I.N and N.I.T.C who have a history of participating in planning and escort operations. The results of the study show that the Islamic Republic of Iran due to the impact of the tanker war while facing a new military front and direct conflict with trans-regional forces has faced difficult economic and military conditions and finally, accepts the resolution of the UN as a termination of the imposed war.
