Investigating the effect of Rhythmic Sports Games on the Quality of Life of the Elderly

The quality of life of the elderly is one of the important issues of the urban society. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of rhythmic sports games on the quality of life of the elderly. In terms of analysis, the research is a semi-experimental type of research with pre-test and post-test, and in terms of the nature and purpose of the research, it is considered as applied research. The statistical population of this research consists of all the elderly people of Mashhad city, and due to the semi-experimental nature of the research, 15 people for each group randomly simple were used as a statistical sample in this research. Standard quality of life questionnaires were used to collect data. Data analysis in two sections of descriptive and inferential statistics using SPSS software version 25 showed that 8 weeks of rhythmic games have a significant effect on the quality of life of the elderly. According to the results of the research, it is suggested to provide the necessary facilities and access for the presence of the elderly so that while participating in the performance of rhythmic sports games, it can help improve the quality of their individual lives.
