A Study of the Function of the "Narrative Center" in the Novel "The Strangers' Cemetery"

The focal point of view is the point that the author or narrator chooses to look at the story and creates a connection between the narration and the narrator point of views,  , narrator and  the reader. Considering that the scene of  novel is the embodiment of voices, different discourses and the collision of social perspectives; therefore, the purpose of this research is to identify the amount of information that the author wants to provide to the audience, as well as to obtain the thoughts, feelings, desires and emotions of the fictional characters that may be obvious or hidden. In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to use focal points, which cause a different attitude to a single phenomenon. Stranger’s Cemetery is also important due to the use of multiple narrators in terms of the focal point of view. For this purpose, in this article, with the method of content analysis, we first examine the widely used viewpoints in the novel and then, using the theories of narratologists, examine the point of view. The author, the focus of the narrative and the focalization and analysis of different types and psychological and ideological aspects, etc. have been discussed. The result is that in Stranger’s Cemetery, Yoonesi looked at the single phenomenon from the different points of view by using the different narratives, he gave the narrator the opportunity to decide about his presence and participation in the story and the reader will be aware of different points of view with different events and phenomena and other aspects of the story.
