Relationship between parenting practices, decision making styles and family adjustment with frustration in first grade high school students in Ajabshir city

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parenting practices, decision making styles and family adaptation with despair of students. This research is descriptive and correlational. The sample consisted of 366 high school female students of AJB, selected by multistage cluster sampling. The research tools included child-rearing questionnaire, decision making styles and frustration scale. For data analysis, correlation and stepwise regression were used. The results showed that the authoritarian, permissive, and direct decision-making style of avoidance, immediate and dependent style is directly related to frustration. The authoritative parenting style and rational, intuitive, and family decision-making styles have inverse relationship with frustration. It was also found that the authoritative child-rearing style and the decision-making style of a positive predictor and an authoritative parenting style and rational and intuitive decision-making styles and family adaptation are negative predictors of frustration.
