The role and effect of artificial intelligence in the process of crime detection
The most complex and sensitive stage of the trial is the stage of crime detection. Currently, the police investigates crimes with scientific methods, and even in the case of murder, investigations have a completely intellectual and mental aspect. Therefore, sometimes controversial methods such as electronic eavesdropping, surveillance, wiretapping, and infiltration of gangs are needed to detect crimes. In this process, artificial intelligence has been able to play an important role in the evolution of crime detection methods
This research has been analyzed in a descriptive-analytical way.
Quick and accurate detection of crimes in the police organization requires the existence of an advanced and up-to-date organization with developed employees. On this basis, the police rely on components such as; Information-oriented policing, police officer training programs, environmental design, etc. can improve the process of identifying criminals and discovering crimes. Artificial intelligence has also revolutionized this process. Artificial intelligence uses unstructured data sets to analyze information patterns using artificial intelligence algorithms and correlate the information to provide results. One of the most useful applications of artificial intelligence to prevent and reduce crime is in the allocation of resources. Based on this, artificial intelligence has been able to revolutionize crime detection in forensics, facial recognition, fingerprint detection, and crime detection through satellite positioning.
