Abstract:
In recent decades, the relationship between Iran and the United States has been viewed from friendship role in the Pahlavi Dynasty to enmity one in the Islamic Republic era. As a turning point, the negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 over Iran's nuclear program demonstrated new horizon of the constructive diplomacy in international relations. These negotiations have been pursued more seriously since 2013 and in 2015 led to the signing of an agreement called CJAP (The Comprehensive Joint Action Plan). In this study, authors seek to answer the question of what effect CJAP as a subject has had on Iran-U.S. relationship. In answer to this question, authors examine the establishment of the U.S. position as "other" in the text of the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan. Hence, It has led to deconstruct the subject and increased hostility in relations between Iran and the United States. The Research data were collected through libraries and documents, and to test the hypothesis, we use the method of critical discourse analysis with deconstruction techniques and Derrida differences to analyze the relationship between self (Islamic Republic of Iran) and other (United States of America) Authors try to test the hypothesis by use of critical discourse analysis method with Derrida's difference idea and his deconstruction techniques to analyze the relationship United States as the “other” and Iran as “self”. In this context, The Comprehensive Joint Action Plan (CJAP) has been regarded as the subject from the post-positivist/ post-modernist view to study International Relations (IR). The results and findings of the research show how another element has established its identity during the negotiations as well as in the text of CJAP and has led to its collapse. The results and findings of the study show how other has established its identity as an emergence of domination and knowledge during the negotiations as well as in the text of CJAP and the source of the collapse of this relationship lies within it.
