The essay"sharh-e kalamāt-e Sheikh Bābā Tāhir-e Jassās",dated 830 H. (An exegesis of the words of Sheikh Bābā Tāhir-e Jassās, dated 1427 CE): the oldest Persian commentary on Bābā Tāhir's words(?)
In 1394 S./2015, Nasrullah Pourjavadi wrote a book about Baba Tahir Oryān and tried to identify him with one of the Sheikhs of Hadith, Abu Muhammad Tahir bin Al-Hasan Ibn Ibrahim Al-Hamdani, known as "Jassās" (plasterer). A year later, Jamshid Mazaheri wrote an article and strongly criticized this identification. What is published here is a short treatise that explains some observations of Bābā Tāhir, written in the early 9th/15th century; The importance of this treatise, which could be considered the oldest Persian commentary of Bābā Tahir's words, is that the time of the confusion between these two personalities goes back at least to the first years of the 9th century.
