Abstract:

Prayer is a category of worship and among the things that are in line with human nature. Those of prayer are connected to God on the basis of their pure nature and are engaged in praising and worshiping Him. This article tries to present the most important outputs and effects of prayer in the presence of the Almighty based on the narrations of the infallibles. Since man has two dimensions, material and spiritual, in other words, physical and spiritual, prayer affects both dimensions. According to Islamic traditions, things like: calming, increasing endurance and tolerance, not being afraid of arrogant people, attaining material blessings, including the effects of prayer, are in the material sphere, and such things as: feeling closeness to God Almighty, removing neglect, salvation through sincerity in prayer, and development of ethical virtues, hope-creating and hope-raising, humility-creating, mobilizing are among the works and achievements of prayer in the spiritual aspect of man.
