A Typology of Imam Hadi's Interpretive Narrations with an Emphasis on the Analysis of the Narration of Respect for the People of the Book

Abstract:

One of the most important methods in the interpretation of the Holy Qur'an is the method of narrative interpretation, which, with regard to exegetic types, the hadiths of Imam Hadi have a special place. In this article, after collecting narrations from hadith sources and their taxonomy, the range of those species was analyzed statistically and thematically divided. The collection of narrations of Imam Hadi (a) includes 430 narrations, of which 70 narrations are exegetic. The present study has used provided with a descriptive-analytical method and is based on library sources, and the result of the research shows that the scope of Imam Hadi's interpretative hadiths includes belief, moral, jurisprudence, and historical types, which can be classified in the two classes of Islamic sciences and natural-human sciences. One of the traditions of jurisprudence is the tradition of respect for the people of the book, which means that in the Islamic society, those people of the book who live in peace should be respected.
