Examining the Relationship Between Job Stress, Quality of Life and Marital Adjustment of Midwives Sirjan City

The main purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between job stress, quality of life and marital adjustment of midwives in Sirjan city. The current research is descriptive of correlation type. The statistical population of this research is all the midwives of Sirjan city, whose number is about 150, and according to Morgan's table, 108 of them have been selected as a sample using the available sampling method. The research tools are the job stress questionnaire of Taft and Anderson (1981), the quality of life of Early (1998) and the marital adjustment of Spanier (1976). To analyze the data, spss software version 24 and Spearman's tests and multivariate regression were used. The results showed that there is an inverse and significant relationship between job stress, quality of life and marital adjustment of midwives. Also, there is an inverse and significant relationship between job stress components (death and dying, conflicts with doctors, insufficient preparation, lack of support, workload and uncertainty about treatment) with midwives' quality of life and marital adjustment. The results of multivariate regression showed that the most important predictor of midwives' quality of life is their workload, and the most important predictor of midwives' marital adjustment is their insufficient preparation.
