The Effectiveness of Play Therapy on the Aggression of Single-Parent Children
The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of play therapy on the aggression of single-parent children. This research was a semi-experimental study with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of the research includes all single-parent children in 1401. The research sample consisted of 40 people (20 experimental people and 20 control people) of these teenagers who were selected using the purposeful sampling method and randomly divided into two experimental and control groups. The experimental group underwent 12 sessions of game therapy, and the control group remained waiting for treatment during this period. Data collection was based on Nelson's aggression questionnaire (2000). The analysis of the information obtained from the implementation of the questionnaire was done through the SPSS 23 software in the inferential section (analysis of covariance). The findings of the research showed that play therapy is effective on the aggression of single-parent children, which means that play therapy leads to the reduction of aggression in them.
