Prediction of Social Anxiety Model based on Attachment Mediated by Parenting Styles in Obese girls Aged 12 to 14 Years in Tehran

In the present study, the social anxiety model was predicted based on attachment mediated by parenting styles in obese female adolescents.

This research is a descriptive and correlational research according to the data collection method. In this study, the statistical population consists of all 12 to 14 year old female students in Tehran in 1399, who are overweight and obese with high body mass index. 200 of these students using multi-stage sampling method. Were selected as a sample. In this study, Connor Social Anxiety Questionnaire (by Connor 2000), Adolescents' Attachment to Parents and Peers Questionnaire (by Armsden and Greenberg, 1987), Bamrind Parenting Questionnaire (Bamrind, 1972) were used. Data using statistical model Multivariate regression, path analysis and finally structural equations were analyzed.

The findings showed that attachment (32%), with a negative and significant relationship, explains the changes in social anxiety, but with the mediation of the current variable of parenting, the standard coefficient of the path is equal to -0.46 and clearly the power of explanation. Has a higher rate of 46% in the diagnosis of social anxiety.
