Discourse Analysis: Discourses of Science in Pahlavi Era Iran
The aim of this article is to investigate the conditions of the formation of the field of discursive conflicts about science and technology in contemporary Iran (Pahlavi era Iran) and tries to answer these two basic questions: a) What is the content of the science and technology discourses in the field of discursive conflicts in Pahlavi era Iran? and direction they had and what factors have shaped this content and direction? and b) What social conditions formed the basis for the formation of this discursive conflict field and the discourses in it and provided the necessary external conditions for the production of discourses? In order to answer these questions, the researcher must show what social conditions are the basis for the objective production of discourses, and in the next step, show the content and orientation of discourses under the influence of what factors are formed, and after proposing a combined theoretical model, carefully examine social and cultural developments. Iran in the given period of time tries to show that although the emergence of a crisis in the moral order of the society, the mobilization of resources and the formation of interaction chains are necessary for the formation of the process of production and transformation of the discourse, the content and direction of the discourses are influenced by factors such as the social horizon of the discourse. , its argumentative limits, its motivational limits, competing discourses in the discourse context of the society and finally the type of cultural capital of the subject producing the discourse is determined. From a methodological point of view, the researcher tries to test his hypotheses by using a combined method including historical case study method and discourse analysis method.
