Prediction of Corona anxiety based on resilience and cognitive regulation of emotion with regard to the mediating role of coping strategies in people with experience of Corona

In addition to physical health, the disease of COVID-19 is also considered a threat to mental health. Therefore, the present study was conducted to Prediction of Corona anxiety based on resilience and cognitive regulation of emotion with regard to the mediating role of coping strategies in people with experience of Corona.
Materials &

The current research method was descriptive and the correlational research design was of structural equation model type. The statistical population studied in this research included 500 patients with experience of corona in 2021 and 2022 who were discharged with partial recovery from Imam Khomeini Hospital in Ardabil City and were selected by the available sampling method. To collect data, four coronavirus anxiety questionnaires, cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire, a resilience scale, and coping strategies questionnaire were used. Pearson correlation method, structural equations, path analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used to test the hypotheses. In this regard, two statistical software SPSS-23 and AMOS were used.

The results showed that cognitive regulation of emotion and resilience could explain and predict corona anxiety through the mediating role of coping strategies (p<0.01), and the results of statistical analysis showed that cognitive regulation of emotion has a significant relationship with corona anxiety. has (p<0.01). It was also found that there is a positive and significant relationship between coping strategies and corona anxiety (p<0.01).

According to the research findings, it can be concluded that the cognitive regulation of emotion and resilience have the ability to cany of Corona according to the mediating role of coping strategies in the studied statistical population.
