Identify Experienced Skills and the Role of Students in the Sixth Grade Elementary Art Curriculum from the Perspective of Teachers and Students
The purpose of this study is to identify the experienced skills and the role of students in the sixth grade elementary art curriculum from the perspective of teachers and students. The qualitative research approach is phenomenological. The study population included teachers and students of the sixth grade of elementary school in districts 3 and 4 of Karaj. There were 10 art curriculum teachers and 10 purposefully selected sixth grade elementary students who participated in the research through semi-structured interviews in accordance with the principle of theoretical saturation. Data were analyzed using coding and their validity and reliability were obtained through four criteria of credibility, confirmability, verifiability and transferability. Findings indicate that the level of awareness of principals and parents about the art curriculum needs to be reviewed to create a proper culture for this area of learning among teachers and students. It is hoped that by increasing the awareness and application of this field in the daily activities of the students of the art curriculum it will be considered and taken care of by those involved in the education system.
