University pedagogy: The need for teaching and learning in medical education
Pedagogy is a conceptual framework that guides the activities of professors. Pedagogy is a theory for educational practice. University Pedagogy (TPACK) can be attributed to the organization of university educational-research activities. The most important pedagogical factors studied in medical education include flexibility, communication tools, inclusive, program and resource management, and evaluation. Accordingly, the present study was conducted to investigate the need for teaching and learning in medical education. Therefore, the present study was conducted by searching for the keywords of university pedagogy, teaching and learning, medical education, student and professor in databases in the period of years from 2008 to 2022. The number of primary articles obtained from the search included 28 articles After a step-by-step review and three-phase screening and application of exclusion criteria, we obtained 23 articles. The results showed that university pedagogy in medical education can be considered as an applied science field, so that professors and instructors of clinical education and basic sciences, educational and research director use the findings of different sciences to understand and guide the university and the classroom.
