Explaining the structural model of the relationship between attachment styles and depression with marital satisfaction with the mediation of conflict resolution styles in couples with borderline personality disorder.

Abstract:

The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between attachment styles and depression on marital satisfaction with the mediation of conflict resolution styles in couples with borderline personality disorder. The current research was a description of structural equation modeling. The sample of this research consisted of 200 couples who referred to the health counseling center in Tehran's 5th district, who were screened and selected by purposive sampling. The tools used in this research are Jackson and Claridge Borderline Personality Disorder Questionnaire, Collins and Reed Adult Attachment Scale (AAS), Beck Depression Short Form-BDI, Rahim Conflict Resolution Scale (ROCI-II) and Form Scale. short for marital satisfaction (MSC). The evaluation of the hypothetical model was done using path analysis method and based on Amos/16 software. The research results showed that the hypothetical model has a good fit. The findings of the research showed that there was no significant relationship between attachment style and conflict resolution methods in a negative way and attachment style and marital satisfaction, and between depression and conflict resolution methods in a negative way, conflict resolution methods There is a significant relationship with marital satisfaction in a positive way and depression with marital satisfaction in a negative way. Conflict resolution methods are a mediator between depression and marital satisfaction. The research findings show that there is a negative relationship between depression and marital satisfaction with the mediation of conflict resolution methods, but there is a significant relationship between attachment style and marital satisfaction with the mediation of conflict resolution methods.
