Decline of Organizational Ethics: Presenting a Three-Pronged Model of Organizational Anomie

Organizational anomie involves the process by which ethical norms in the organization are disrupted or specific cultural norms that allow for self-centeredness to spread. The aim of this study is to present a three-pronged model of organizational anomie in Iranian government organizations.

The present study was a combination of exploratory research. In the qualitative part, textual and Delphi content analysis methods were used to construct a questionnaire. The content analysis community consisted of upstream documents and articles and dissertations related to this field, of which 49 sources were used as a sample, and then 10 people from the community of experts and experts of Iranian government organizations were selected by snowball method. It was an interview tool and the data were analyzed by coding method. In a small part of the community, there were experts from Iranian government organizations, from which a sample of 384 people was selected by simple random sampling. The instrument of the researcher-made questionnaire was a qualitative section. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and structural equation modeling were used to analyze the collected data. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS and SMART-PLS statistical software.

The results of the qualitative section showed 3 structures, 13 dimensions and 81 items. The results of the quantitative part indicated that the questionnaire has the necessary validity and reliability and the research model has a good fit.
