The relationship between perceived social support and the tendency to consume alcoholic beverages in the youth of North Khorasan province
The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between perceived social support and the tendency to consume alcoholic beverages in young boys of North Khorasan province. The present study was descriptive and correlational research design. The statistical population of this research includes all young people who consume alcoholic beverages in North Khorasan province. Among them, 100 people were selected through purposive sampling and completed the questionnaires, tendency to consume alcoholic beverages and perceived social support. The results were analyzed using SPSS software. The results of the correlation analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between the tendency to consume alcoholic beverages and the perceived social support (P<0.001). Conclusion From the findings of the present study, it can be concluded that By increasing the amount of perceived social support in young people, the amount of tendency to consume alcohol in them decreases. Therefore, interventions that increase social support can prevent the formation of a tendency towards alcohol consumption.
