The Role of Organizational Justice, Organizational Support and Job Stress in Predicting Job Satisfaction: A Case Study of Bojnourd City

Abstract:
Considering the special working conditions of the military forces and their responsibility in maintaining the security of the people, it is critical to pay close attention to job satisfaction and the factors that influence it. The aim of this study was to investigate the simultaneous role of organizational justice, organizational support, and job stress in predicting job satisfaction among employees of the Bojnourd police. The statistical population of the present study includes all employees of the Bojnourd police in the year 2020. According to the population size and using proportion sampling method, 160 people were selected as the sample. Participants completed the Perceived Organizational Support Questionnaire Short Form, Job Stress, Organizational Justice, and Minnesota Job Satisfaction. The collected data were analyzed by correlation and regression tests. The results showed that job stress negatively, organizational support, and organizational justice were positively and significantly correlated with officers’ job satisfaction. Regression analysis showed that organizational justice and job stress explain 61% of variance related to job satisfaction. Given the important role of procedural justice in job satisfaction, it is necessary that organizational guidelines and procedures be clear and transparent, and that the granting of privileges to employees be based on people knowing unambiguously and clearly how these organizational decisions are made.
