Social Factors Affecting Family Homicide in North Khorasan Province

Murder and murder have long been humanity's biggest crimes, and police departments around the world have set up offices to investigate this crime. In the Islamic Republic of Iran's law enforcement, the discovery of a homicide is one of the duties of the Police Criminal Offenses Awareness Office. In recent years, according to experts in the department, the number of homicides has increased in North Khorasan province. Therefore, this study investigated the social factors affecting family homicide in North Khorasan province. The research method in this study is archival and documentary which was done by referring to the murder cases filed in the North Khorasan Provincial Police and its affiliated cities and the research method is causal. The statistical population of this study includes all the family murder cases that were formed during the investigation period in North Khorasan province. The results show that the first and most important cause of family homicide in North Khorasan province is honorific which accounts for about 46.2% of the homicides, followed by factors such as: conflicts, conflicts and family strife. And financial disputes between family and family members.
